Investing in Essex Wildlife

We are proud to announce that as part of our corporate social responsibility strategy, we have recently become a Gold Standard ‘Investor in Wildlife’ with the Essex Wildlife Trust (EWT).

EWT is the largest conservation charity in the county and one of the biggest of the 47 county wildlife trusts that work together throughout the British Isles as ‘The Wildlife Trusts’. Without financial support from members and corporates like TWO Services, they would not be able to carry out their important conservation work.

This includes managing and protecting over 8,400 acres of land on 87 nature reserves, 2 nature parks and running 11 visitor centres. Funds from members also help to pay for the 16 education staff across the county, who are busy working with over 58,000 children and adults each year from schools and community groups, offering extensive knowledge of the importance of Essex wildlife, while ensuring it is fun.

Barry Osborn, MD says:
“As a local company we wanted to support the work of EWT in preserving the fantastic habitats and variety of wildlife species that we have on our doorstep. Just like a business, these areas need careful management which requires sustained investment, so by becoming a Gold Corporate member, we are contributing towards safeguarding these reserves for the community to enjoy.’

Chris Packham, Broadcaster, Naturalist and a Vice President of The Wildlife Trusts said:
“You’ll be supporting the future, both of wildlife and of everyone in Essex – and in the whole of the UK, too.”
