The CRUMBS Project showcase menus keep taking us on a journey around the world, and this time, we headed East.

At our Flavours of the East Showcase, our incredible trainees delivered a bold, East Asian–inspired menu that celebrated flavour and creativity from start to finish.

Guests enjoyed a vibrant selection of dishes, beginning with sharing starters including pork bao buns, chicken satay, crab cake, cabbage, and a rice-based soup. For mains, it was a tough choice between chicken katsu curry or swordfish kebabs with coriander noodles.

Desserts wrapped up the evening nicely, with options including mango and tapioca pudding with white chocolate and matcha cookies, Thai fried banana with ube ice cream, and Japanese jiggly cheesecake served with Asian fruits (a popular choice among many of our guests).

Our trainees proudly served 30 guests (including friends, family, and trustees), demonstrating just how far they’ve come in confidence and capability in the kitchen.

We would like to express our gratitude to Two Services, whose generous sponsorship of the ingredients made this showcase possible. Your support helps bring these learning experiences to life. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and supported the evening, and congratulations to our trainees on another standout showcase - we couldn’t be prouder.
